Rules:
• You must be 18 or older to participate in the competition.
• All routines to be no longer than 3 minutes. Only flair done in the 3 minutes will be scored.
• All music to be supplied on CD. Please check that your CD’s aren’t scratched.
• Bottles to have a minimum of 12 ml before the routine start.
• No syrups to be used in bottles.
• No dry bottles to be used.
• Any pour spout may be used as long as they are not restricted and are free flowing.
• Competitors may set the bar up as they like before the start of their round.
• No fire to be used before, during of after the routine.
• Bartenders to be have signed up 1 hour before the competition starts. Registering late might result in disqualification.
• If the organiser or manager feels that a bartender is putting the crowd in danger with reckless flair they have the right to stop his show and get him of stage straight away.
Marking criteria
Working flair drink: Own drink creation (10 points)
Complete drink has to be made. Complete drink: Collins glass, full with ice, minimum one shot of alcohol and mixer. A creative drink presented well will score higher than a vodka cranberry with no garnish, straw or napkin.
Exhibition flair drink: Own drink (10 points)
Complete drink has to be made. Complete drink: Collins glass, full with ice, minimum one shot of alcohol and mixer. A creative drink presented well will score higher than a vodka cranberry with no garnish, straw or napkin.
Skill and Difficulty (20 points)
Judges will be looking for technical and big moves. Take into consideration grips, angles, number of objects and just plain difficult moves. Only successfully landed moves will be taken into consideration.
Variety (20 points)
Items used and variety in moves. Different combinations of items i.e. bottle and 3 tin, 4 bottles etc. Different moves i.e. rolls, bumps, taps and snatches also count here.
Originality and Creativity (20 points)
Competitors will be judged on new and improved moves. This includes all objects used. New grabs, bumps, taps rolls etc.
Entertainment & Music Interaction (20 points)
The competitor will score points on choreography and music interaction. Energy on stage and crowd interaction will also play a part here.
Smoothness and Balance of Routine (20 points)
This is how the routine is put together. The competitor should finish on time, not rush to finish the drinks. He / she should also not fumble for bottles or tins and not know what to do next in the routine.

Bonus
A 10 point bonus is awarded for a “no drop” routine.
